AbstractWith the development of optical processing and manufacturing technology and the needs of scientific research and equipment manufacturing, now the design and manufacture of optical lens mainly consider the influence of gravity on the deformation of optical system. Advanced compensation is a method which uses finite element analysis software to calculate the gravitational deformation, thus compensating it in the processing stage and making the lens surface after deforming as the desired shape in order to reduce the deformation. The relationship between gravity deformation and compensation quantity is analyzed in this paper and an effectively method of selecting the compensation quantity is presented.
