中文摘要: Multiple lobes generally exist in the far-field of high-order mode Hermite-Gaussian beams owing to inherent phase shifts of a half wave, leading to deteriorated far-field brightness. We present transformation of the far-field intensity distributions of high-order mode Hermite-Gaussian beams with a deformable mirror, which is able to effectively enhance the power concentrations in the far-field by compensating for both phase shifts and aberrations. Experiments with TEM10, TEM20 and TEM30 mode beams demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively form a single strong lobe in the far-field, and the peak intensities are considerately improved. © 2013 Astro Ltd.
