The implementation of adaptive optics wavefront spot extraction on FPGA

AbstractThe skylight background and the noise generated by the detection device system in adaptive optical system has a great impact for the spot detecting precision. In order to eliminate the affects, a wavefront spot signal extraction system is designed and implemented in this paper. The extraction effect and the precision are tested in the indoor adaptive optics precision tracking system. The experiment results show that the system is better in extracting the target spot; the spot centroid accuracy after processed is higher. In the other hand, the processing delay is small, which meets the adaptive optics system's real time requirement.; The skylight background and the noise generated by the detection device system in adaptive optical system has a great impact for the spot detecting precision.
