AbstractSimple bandstop filters (BSF) are introduced in this article. The filters consist Of one spurline and a pair Of cross-junction open stubs. This spurline exhibits bandstop characteristics at a resonant frequency, which can be explained and modeled by one LCR-resonator. The proposed BSF was designed and measured. The experimental results verify the design method and circuit modeling. Additionally, this BSF is compact and its total length is equal to lambda g/6.
