A wideband near perfect absorption structure was proposed by introducing a single layer silver nanosphere array onto the absorption blends of poly(3-hexylthiophene) and [6,6]-phenyl-C(61)-butyric acid methyl ester (P3HT: PCBM) at visible frequency. After the mechanism of the absorption enhancement is analyzed, a design and the related simulation are given for verifying the principle with the energy absorption efficiency of 93.9% at the wavelength range from 350 nm to 670 nm, which demonstrates the obvious contribution to the increase of absorption ratio of the surface plasmon enhancement and the electric and magnetic resonance of the silver nanospheres.
